My Why

Working in schools and in community mental health, I have seen how crippling anxiety can be to teens and young adults. Adolescence and early adulthood are periods of immense growth, self-discovery, and change, but this critical phase of life can be filled with doubts and worries, overwhelming feelings, and great uncertainty. I am passionate about helping my patients and their families navigate this special time. I’m thrilled to be a part of such a knowledgeable and compassionate team in supporting teens and young adults through high-quality, evidence-based treatment.

Tina Pham, MA, is a therapist who is dually registered in the state of California as an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) and Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC). Tina’s passion for understanding the human mind and behavior began during her undergraduate years at Claremont McKenna College, where she graduated with honors in her major of Psychology. After years of working to help people in different professional capacities, Tina was driven to pursue a career as a mental health professional, inspired by her desire to help others navigate life’s challenges.

Tina has training and clinical experience working in a variety of settings, including community mental health, medication-assisted treatment facility, and school-based settings. As a Registered Associate, Tina developed a passion for helping adolescents and young adults. She has seen her patients dramatically improve with evidence-based interventions and has actively sought training and certification in evidence-based practices. Tina is clinically certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), certified in Seeking Safety, and provisionally certified by the Academy of Cognitive Behavioral Therapies, with full Diplomate status from the Academy upon obtaining unrestricted licensure. She values a goal-oriented, collaborative approach and is skilled in supporting teens and young adults with anxiety, depression, trauma, and other related concerns.

Tina lives in the greater Los Angeles area with her husband, two children, and their dog and two cats. She loves coming-of-age stories and superhero movies. On the weekends, she can often be found on the soccer field cheering one of her kids on.

Tina is supervised by Anna Swan, Licensed Clinical Psychologist.
