Ana Scali, LCSW

Clinician - Northeast

My Why

I chose to be a therapist for children, adolescents, and young adults because I have always had a deep passion for helping young individuals navigate the challenges they face during their developmental years. I believe that these formative years are crucial for emotional growth and establishing a strong foundation for mental well-being. Children and adolescents often face unique struggles and may have difficulty expressing their emotions or understanding their experiences. By specializing in evidenced-based treatment such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) for this population, I can provide a safe and supportive space where they can explore their feelings and develop healthy coping strategies.

Ana Scali is a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) specializing in providing mental health services to children, adolescents, and young adults. With licenses in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut, she is committed to helping young individuals navigate their mental health challenges and achieve optimal well-being.

Ana’s passion for working with young people and their families began during her undergraduate studies at Quinnipiac University, where she majored in Psychology and minored in Sociology. Through coursework and internships, she gained a deep understanding of child development and the importance of early intervention in supporting mental health. Driven by her desire to make a positive impact, Ana pursued a Master of Social Work degree with a concentration in Children, Youth, and Families at the University of Southern California (USC). USC provided her with a comprehensive education in evidenced-based therapeutic techniques and a solid foundation in understanding the unique challenges faced by young individuals and their families.

Throughout her career, Ana has worked in diverse clinical settings, including pediatric hospitals, outpatient clinics, schools, and residential treatment programs. She has collaborated closely with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, psychologists, and educators to ensure a holistic and integrated approach to her client’s care. Ana’s expertise lies in diagnosing and treating mental health disorders such as anxiety, depression, trauma-related issues, ADHD, and behavioral challenges. She is skilled in utilizing evidence-based modalities to support her clients’ growth and healing.

In addition to her clinical work, Ana is committed to continuous professional development. She actively participates in workshops, seminars, and conferences to stay updated with the latest research and advancements in the field of mental health. This dedication allows her to provide evidence-based interventions and stay at the forefront of innovative therapeutic approaches.

Ana firmly believes in the power of a collaborative and client-centered therapeutic approach. She recognizes that every individual has unique strengths and personal experiences that shape their mental health journey. By creating a safe and non-judgmental space, she empowers her clients to explore their thoughts, emotions, and challenges while guiding them toward personal growth and resilience.

Ana lives with her husband and Shih-Pom (Shih Tzu and Pomeranian Mix) named “West”. Ana loves spending time with her family and friends, traveling, listening to music, and spending time outdoors.
