- This study found that both psychological treatment (CBT) and medication (sertraline), as well as their combination, were effective in the reduction of anxiety in children and adolescents. CBT (59.7%) was as effective as medication (54.9%) and their combination (80.7%) was better than both combined by the end of treatment phase.
