About Anxiety Treatment

Our cognitive-behavioral treatment is based on research led by Lumate’s clinical leadership team over the last 30+ years. Everything we do is designed specifically for anxiety with experts who specialize in working with teens and young adults. Treatment will be offered online through our secure teletherapy platform, built to deliver the highest level of mental health care.

Evaluation
Meet with a therapist and tell them more about what has been going on and your goals for treatment. We will ask you a lot of questions, so we don’t miss anything.

By the end, the therapist will have enough information to provide recommendations for the next steps.

Treatment Sessions
Are about as long as a school semester. Here’s what will happen during those meetings:

Phase I - Build Awareness
In initial sessions you will become an expert in understanding anxiety and become aware of patterns of thoughts and behaviors that may be keeping anxiety strong. You’ll know too much for it to ever take you by surprise again.

Phase II - Build Anxiety Management Skills
Next, you will learn core skills for managing anxiety, stress, and worry. By the end, you will see anxiety coming, and know what to do next.

Phase III - Practice
The most important part of treatment is practicing using the skills in situations where anxiety might occur. Your therapist will help you slowly teach your mind and body new thought patterns and actions that will break the anxiety cycle.
45-60 minute therapy sessions
Parent support, ongoing app support, and “Booster” and group support sessions as needed
Maintenance and Wellness Support
As you grow and change, new stressors and worries might pop up – but everything you’ve learned will help. Anytime you need a refresher or a “Booster,” you can access support tools online and meet with a therapist if needed.

We will offer webinars, seminars, and wellness programming so that you can keep learning as much as you'd like for as long as you'd like.
Parent support, ongoing app support, and “Booster” and group support sessions as needed
