Rush McCloy most recently served as CEO of Eyewitness Surveillance from 2011 until 2021 when it merged with another business. Eyewitness is a video analytics and commercial monitoring company and during his time as CEO, the company built innovative technologies to support its services and expanded from a small, regional footprint in the Mid Atlantic to become the leading national company in its verticals in over 30 states with operations in the US and Mexico.
Rush has focused the majority of his professional career on building innovative companies and has a strong background in finance and military service. Rush is also currently a Strategic Advisor and board member of CapYear, a company with a mission to facilitate the launch of careers in health and medicine. In 2008, shortly prior to Eyewitness, Rush was called up to serve in combat operations in Afghanistan while still an officer in the Reserves. He was awarded the Bronze Star for his actions. While acting as a Partner at Channelstone Capital Partners, the team led the purchase and subsequent build of Manduka, a yoga accessories brand that became both a leader in its category in the US and abroad. Prior to building businesses, Rush spent time in investment banking and derivatives origination and structuring for JPMorgan Chase Securities.
Since 2005, Rush has been on the board and the Finance Chair for Ubuntu Pathways, a nonprofit organization providing an integrated support system of health, education, and social support in the townships of Gqeberha (formerly Port Elizabeth), South Africa. Ubuntu has become an internationally-recognized blueprint for community transformation. Rush also served on the Executive Committee for Deerfield Academy, actively coaches ski racing for USSA, runs marathons and ultra-marathons around the world in efforts to raise money for pediatric cancer research, and finds deep inspiration from his marriage and his two daughters who can collectively and individually make him laugh like no one else.
Rush received his BA from the University of Virginia, his MBA from Wharton at University of Pennsylvania, where he was awarded the Paul Green Award for Knowledge Creation, and simultaneously completed his MA in International Studies from the University of Pennsylvania, graduating with honors.
